Has anyone gotten the new audiobooks yet? Are they different from the old ones?

I did not know that there were new audiobooks. Of course, even if I did, I could not compare them with the old ones as I have never listened to the old ones either! What does anyone who has listened to them think?

My siblings and I got the Kingdom Series Audio Books for Christmas this year, and they are very good. I wasn't aware there were new and old ones, but these are the Oasis Audio, read by Andy Turvey and Dawn Marshall.

We have the same ones as Buttercup; I, too, wasn't aware that there were new/old ones. I really like them, though; especially the music!

The two sets are basically the same. We originally bought the audio series after hearing the sample online. We enjoyed it so much that we bought the books next. They are loved too! Since we as a family really enjoy listening to the audios on trips, we recently repurchase the audios because of scratching issues on the first set. The first ones were MUCH nicer in that they didn't have the Oasis introduction and there was a song added at the end of three of the CD's. Otherwise...they are the very same. Those two changes really made a difference to me. My children didn't seem to care much about it though. Oasis is just reproducing them for the author.

I've only listened to the demo of Kingdom's Dawn, but it was good, a little British though(not certain if it's good or bad).

Welcome back on board, CWAbbottFamily! I remember enjoying your posts on one of the previous forums.
I love many things British - the accent, as well as (some of) their humor is just wonderful! We have the DK "audio book" presentation of Robin Hood, read by Ioan Gruffudd (pronounced Yo-an Griffith; many of you will recognize him as Horatio Hornblower from, well, A&E's Horatio Hornblower, and William Wilberforce from Amazing Grace), and it's really quite fun to listen to! I think Brits have a talent for capturing the essence and emotion of a story.
Sorry, that was a little off-topic.

I'll continue with your off-topic, as well as saying something about the audio books. We have the six new audio books. They are wonderful! I would never have known that there were old ones had not you guys told me! Anyway...
I love British accents! And Scottish, too. But we have British pastor, and both he and his wife have British accents, though his wife has a little bit more of one. I just love to hear him talk! So there we go...I got off topic, too!
And another off-topic subject; since I wasn't part of the old forums, welcome to KQ, CWAbbotttFamily!

I might buy them sometime, but the trouble with me is that I almost never listen when I'm read to (my mind starts wandering)

Are all the audiobooks read or dramatized? Are the new ones remakes or just different book series?

I think they're remakes.

I thought about buying Lady Carliss, but decided against it.
